Rent-Ready Must Haves

What you need done before listing your property

Your property must be professionally cleaned

First impressions matter. A resident looking at a home will see the house as it is, at that moment. A messy house will attract a tenant who may not see your home in the same high regard that you do.

All appliances and systems need to be in working order

Make sure all hardware and appliances are working. The HVAC is cooling properly in the summer. The heating is heating the home properly in the winter. There aren’t any clogs in any drain lines attached to the dishwasher or washing machine. The oven is heating correctly.

There are no active plumbing leaks

Coming home to a plumbing leak is an absolute nightmare! Before your property is ready to list, you must make sure all plumbing is secured. There should not be any cracked pipes, leaks around tubs, toilets or hot water heaters.

Your smoke detectors are functional

It is a violation not to have functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors!
